Abstract:ObjectiveTo study and discuss the clinical effect of eustachian tube balloon dilatation combined with tympanic membrane incision catheter in the treatment of refractory otitis media with effusion.MethodsFrom January 2015 to June 2017,60 cases of patients with refractory secretory otitis media treated in our hospital were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method,30 cases in each group. The control group was treated by simple tympanic membrane incision catheter, the observation group was treated by tympanic membrane incision catheter combined with eustachian tube balloon dilatation. The patients were followed up for 6 months, the clinical effects, pure audiometry, eustachian tube pressure and pain score were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe total effective rate in the observation group was 93.33%,the control group was 73.33%,there was statistically significant between the two groups (P<0.05).After treatment, the pure tone audiometry in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05),eustachian tube pressure and pain scores in the observation group were lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).ConclusionTympanic membrane incision catheter combined with eustachian tube balloon dilatation can be used to treat patients with refractory otitis media with effusion, which can effectively improve hearing and relieve pressure and pain of eustachian tube,it has significant effect.
