Abstract：Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of self-made Chinese medicine lotion combined with mupirocin in the treatment of pediatric impetigo vulgaris.Methods From October 2010 to October 2014,200 children with impetigo vulgaris who were treated in the Department of Dermatology in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups.The control group was treated with Mupirocin alone,and the observation group was treated with self-made Chinese medicine lotion combined with Mupirocin.The efficacy,symptom improvement time and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate was 95%in the observation group,which was significantly higher than that of 82%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05);the time of relieving itching,the time of relieving herpes,the time of scabbing,the time of recovery were obviously shorter than those of control group and the rate of recurrence in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05);there was no significant adverse reaction between the two groups after drug administration,and some patients showed mild irritation on their skin,there was no significant difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion Self-made Chinese medicine lotion combined with mupirocin in the treatment of pediatric impetigo vulgaris has significant effect,can significantly relieve the symptoms,reduce the auto-implantation induced by scratching,shorten the course of treatment and improve the curative effect,which has a positive clinical significance.
