Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of anatomical plate and Kirschner′s tension-band wire in the treatment of different types of olecranon fractures.M ethods68 patients with fractures of olecranon treated in our hospital from February 2010 to June 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the study group and the control group,34 patients in each group.Patients in the study group were treated by anatomical plate internal fixation,and patients in the control group were treated by Kirschner′s tension-band wire internal fixation.The time required for the operation,the average healing time after operation,and the recovery condition of the elbow joint function were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe time required for operation in the study group was (80.2±6.4)min,which was significantly longer than(64.3±4.1)min in the control group,with significant difference(P<0.05).The average healing time after operation was(3.4±0.2)months in the study group and(3.5±0.3)months in the control group,and the difference between the two groupswas not statistically significant(P>0.05).The excellent and good rate of recovery condition of the elbow joint function in the study group was 97.1%,which was significantly higher than 73.5%in the control group with significant difference (P<0.05).ConclusionKirschner′s tension-band wire internal fixation is a simple and effectivemethod in the treatment of olecranon fractures,while anatomical plate fixation has definite clinical efficacy and is conducive to fracture reduction and early functional exercise,aswell as reducing the incidence of postoperative complications.
