Clinical study of single port video-assisted thoracic surgery in the surgical treatment of pulmonary infectious diseases

Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of single port video-assisted thoracic surgery(VATS)in the surgical treatment of pulmonary infectious diseases.MethodsSixty patients with pulmonary infection admitted into our hospital from February 2016 to February 2017 were selected and divided into experimental group(n=30)and control group(n=30).In the control group,multi-port VATS was used,while in the experimental group,single port VATS was adopted.The surgical time,intraoperative amount of bleeding,amount of pleural fluid of 24 h after surgery,hospital stay,postoperative pain,and incidence of complications were observed in the two groups.ResultsIn the experimental group,the surgical time and hospital stay were shorter compared with those in the control group.The intraoperative amount of bleeding and amount of pleural fluid of 24 h after surgery were less than those in the control group.The pain degree of incision was lower than that in the control group.PCT level after surgery in the experimental group was greatly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence rate of complications in the experimental group was lower in comparison with that in the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionFor patients with pulmonary infectious diseases,application of single port VATS has higher safety,and it can reduce the incidence of complications,and alleviates patients′suffereing,and improves the overall therapeutic effect.
