Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of reconstruction of plate internal fixation in the treatment of middle clavicle fracture. Methods Clinical data of 54 patients with middle clavicle fractures treated in Department of Orthopedics in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different surgical modes, they were evenly divided into the control group and the observation group,27 cases in each group. In the control group, Kirschner wire tension band for fixation was used, while in the observation group, reconstruction of plate internal fixation was adopted. The surgical effect, operation time, intraoperative amount of bleeding, hospital stay, healing time of bone fracture, and the incidence rate of postoperative complications in the two groups were compared. Results The excellent and good rate of surgery in the observation group was 96.30%,which was higher than that in the control group(74.07%),with significant difference(P<0.05).The operation time, hospital stay, and healing time of bone fracture in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, intraoperative amount of bleeding in the observation group was less than that in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence rate of complications such as screw loosening, fracture displacement, malunion and scapulohumeral periarthritis in the observaiton group was lower than that in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Reconstruction of plate internal fixation is effective in the treatment of middle clavicle fracture at advantage of simple and easy on performance, high safety, quick bone heal, and low incidence rate of complications, which has positive clinical significance.
