Effect of Irbesartan on plasma myeloperoxidase and blood uric acid in patients with unstable angina pectoris

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Irbesartan on myeloperoxidase(MPO)and blood uric acid(BUA)in patients with unstable angina pectoris(UAP).Methods From April 2015 to March 2016,86 patients with UAP admitted to our hospital and cooperative hospital were evenly divided into routine treatment group and Irbesartan treatment group in random.Patients in both groups were provided with coronary dilatation,anticoagulation and lipid regulation.In the Irbesartan treatment group,on the basis of the routine treatment group,oral administration of irbesartan(150 mg each time, once per day).One course of treatment lasted for 8 weeks.The plasma MPO level was tested by ABC-Elisa and BUA level was measured by fully automatic biochemical analyser.Results Compared with before treatment,plasma MPO and BUA level was greatly decreased in the two groups(P<0.05).After treatment,plasma MPO and BUA level in the Irbesartan treatment group were greatly lower than those in the routine treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion Irbesartan has significant inhibitory effect on plasma MPO and BUA level in patients with UAP.
