中山市60岁以上人群自杀特征分析

Abstract Objective To analyse the characteristics of elderly suicides in Zhongshan City. Methods Cases whose age of death was 60 years or older, time of death was between January 1, 2015 and December 31, 2017 and “ICD code of Underlying cause of death” X60-X84 were selected from the Cause of Death Registration Reporting Information System. According to the major and minor suicide methods, the cases were divided into two groups: the hanging group and the non-hanging group. The characteristics of demographic data, place of death and suicide methods were compared between the two groups. Results From 2015 to 2017, there were 79 cases of suicides aged above 60 years old in Zhongshan City with an average age of (71.22±8.88) years old, most of the place of death was at home [60.76% (48/79)], and most of them were hanged [63.29% (50/79)]. The age of hanging was higher than that of other suicide methods(P＜0.05).Percentage of death at home in the hanging group was higher than that of non-constricted group (P＜0.05). Conclusion The suicides of the elderly in Zhongshan City are relatively old, and most of the suicides occur at home. The suicide methods are mainly by hanging, and it is urgent to further study the intervention strategies for specific suicide methods such as hanging.
