Abstract Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of continuing nursing care demands of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis. Methods A total of 477 patients diagnosed with moderate to severe psoriasis in Shanghai Skin Disease Hospital from December 2020 to February 2021 were selected by convenience sampling method, and the questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the demand for continuing care and its influencing factors. Results There were 402 patients(85.35%)with continuing nursing care demands, the most demanding items were medication methods and precautions.Network communication was the best form of service.Hospital nurses were the most popular service staffs.Univariate analysis showed that different treatment methods, education level, family per capita monthly income, medical payment forms, treatment schemes and complications were associated with continuing care needs of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis(P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that traditional treatment plan(β=1.005, OR=2.733,95%CI=1.590-4.700)and complications(β=2.093, OR=8.111,95%CI=0.819-3.325)were the independent risk factors affecting the continuing care needs of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis(P<0.05).The payment form of medical insurance for urban workers was a protective factor(β=-0.705, OR=0.494,95%CI=0.258-0.946).Conclusion There are more demands for continuing nursing care in patients with moderate to severe psoriasis, suggesting that the continuing care scheme should be based on the patients′ continuing care demands, and build an individualized and diversified continuing care mode.
