| Effect of compound trabeculectomy in the treatment of glaucoma patients and its influence on the quality of life |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of compound trabeculectomy in the treatment of glaucoma patients and its influence on the quality of life. Methods A total of 30 patients with glaucoma admitted to Beijing Renhe Hospital from October 2018 to October 2019 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group (15 cases) and the study group (15 cases). The control group was treated with conventional trabeculectomy, the study group was treated with compound trabeculectomy. The intraocular pressure, anterior chamber depth and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The intraocular pressure of the study group after treatment was lower than that of the control group, and the depth of the anterior chamber of the study group was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in intraocular pressure and anterior chamber depth between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). The intraocular pressure after treatment was lower than that before treatment, and the depth of anterior chamber after treatment was higher than before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The quality of life score of the study group after treatment was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the quality of life score between the two groups (P>0.05). The quality of life scores of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Compound trabeculectomy is effective in treating glaucoma patients, it can effectively improve intraocular pressure, anterior chamber depth, and improve the quality of life.
