Research on Graf ultrasound screening for early diagnosis of developmental dysplaisa of the hip |

Abstract Objective To explore the application value of Graf ultrasound screening in the diagnosis of early developmental dysplaisa of the hip. Methods A total of 60 cases of suspected infants with early diagnosis of developmental dysplaisa of the hip from the Department of Ultrasound Medicine, Ganzhou Maternity and Child Health Hospital from April 2018 to June 2020 were selected as subjects. Taking the clinical pathological diagnosis as the gold standard, Xray and Graf ultrasound were performed on all the infants. Inspection and diagnosis results were retrospectively analyzed. The infants with developmental abnormalities were followed up. Results According to the Graf classification criteria, the 60 cases were determined, including 28 cases of type Ⅰ(46.67%) and 22 cases of Ⅱ(36.67%), 10 cases of type Ⅲ(16.67%), and 0 cases of type Ⅳ, including 14 cases of type Ⅱa (23.33%), 8 cases of type Ⅱb/c (13.33%).Eighteen children with developmental dysplasia of the hip joint were diagnosed by the gold standard. The detection rate of Graf method was 83.33%, which was higher than that of X-ray examination (20.00%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of Graf ultrasonography were 90.00%, 83.33% and 92.86%, which were all higher than those of X-ray examination (50.00%, 16.67% and 64.29%), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). A total of 15 infants with developmental dysplasia of the hip identified by Graf ultrasonography were followed up for 3 months, of which 7 cases of type Ⅱwere converted to type Ⅰ, and 8 cases of type Ⅲwere converted to 6 cases of type Ⅰ, 2 cases of type Ⅱ. Conclusion After comparative analysis, the Graf ultrasound screening can accurately grasp the development of infants′ hip joints and diagnose children with DDH as soon as possible. The sensitivity and specificity of this examination are higher than those of X-ray examination. The Graf ultrasound is of great significance in screening infants with DDH.
