| Effect of comfort nursing intervention on recovery of gastrointestinal peristalsis function in patients with gastrointestinal operation |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of comfort nursing intervention on recovery of gastrointestinal peristalsis function in patients with gastrointestinal operation.Methods A total of 104 patients with gastrointestinal operation treated in Dalian Third People′s Hospital from March 2018 to February 2019 were selected and divided into the control group (n=52) and the research group (n=52) according to random number table method.The control group was given routine nursing intervention,and research group was given comfort nursing intervention.The gastrointestinal recovery time,mental state,quality of life and nursing satisfaction were compared between two groups.Results The time of gastric tube removal,defecation,and anal exhaust in the research group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05);after the intervention,the scores of anxiety self-rating scale and depression self-rating scale in the research group were lower than those in the control group,while the scores of all dimensions of the comprehensive quality of life assessment questionnaire of the research group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05);the total incidence of complications in the research group was lower than that of the control group (7.69% vs.23.08%),and the nursing total satisfaction was higher than that of the control group (88.46% vs.73.08%),and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Comfort nursing intervention can speed up the recovery process of gastrointestinal motility in patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery,improve their mental state and quality of life,reduce the incidence of complications,and improve their nursing satisfaction.
