| Clinical effect of acupressure combined with facial motor therapy in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of acupressure combined with facial motor therapy in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis.Methods A total of 90 patients with peripheral facial paralysis who were admitted to Department of Rehabilitation in Dalian Municipal Central Hospital from January 2019 to August 2020 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into the acupressure group,the comprehensive group and the motor therapy group,with 30 cases in each group.The acupuncture group was treated with acupuncture,the comprehensive group was treated with acupuncture combined with facial motor therapy,and the motor therapy group was treated with facial motor therapy,the treatment period was 4 weeks.Portmann score,facial disability index (FDI) scale score and treatment effect of the three groups were compared before and after treatment.Results The Portmann scores of three group after treatment were higher than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The Portmann score of the comprehensive group after treatment was higher than those of the acupressure group and the motor therapy group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).After treatment,the physical function score (FDIP) of the three groups were higher than those before treatment,the social function score (FDIS) were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).After treatment,FDIP in the comprehensive group was higher than those in the acupuncture group and the motor therapy group,FDIS was lower than those in the acupuncture group and the motor therapy group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the comprehensive group was higher than those of the acupuncture group and the motor therapy group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with facial motor therapy in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis has a definite effect,can effectively improve the facial nerve function of patients,alleviate clinical symptoms.
