| Effect of Shenling Baizhu Powder combined with chemotherapy on immune function and quality of life of colorectal cancer |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Shenling Baizhu Powder combined with chemotherapy on immune function and quality of life of colorectal cancer.Methods A total of 84 patients with colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from June 2016 to December 2018 were enrolled.The randomized digital table method was used to divided patients into observation group and control group,42 cases in each group.The control group only received conventional chemotherapy.On this basis,Shenling Baizhu Powderwas added in the obeservation group,and both groups were treated for 12 weeks.The immune function indicators before and after treatment,the Karnofsky functional status(KPS)score,the occurrence of adverse reactions during the treatment,and the recent clinical efficacy were compared.Results There were no significant differences in the pre-treatment immune function index and KPS score between the two groups(P＞0.05).The CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+levels in the two groups after treatmentwere lower than those before treatment,CD8+,KPS scores were higher than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group,and the CD8+and KPSscorewere higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The disease control rate of the observation group was 88.10%,which was higher than 69.05%of the control group,and the proportions of hematuria,proteinuria,leukopenia,thrombocytopenia,nausea and vomiting,diarrhea and abdominal pain were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Shenling Baizhu Powder with chemotherapy for patients with colorectal cancer has significant curative effect,which can effectively improve the immune function of patients,improve the quality of life and reduce the adverse reactions of chemotherapy.
