Abstract Objective To study the effects of immediate implant restoration and delayed implant restoration on the soft tissue around the implant. Methods A total of 120 patients with maxillary single anterior teeth treated in our hospital from January to June 2017 were selected as the subjects. The patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment plans, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with delayed implant restoration. In the protocol, the observation group used the immediate implant restoration program. The red aesthetic index (PES) and white aesthetic index (WES) were used to evaluate the soft tissue and dental implant aesthetics on the day after surgery and 1 year after surgery. The alveolar bone vertical was compared 1 year after surgery.Absorbance, visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the subjective satisfaction of denture implants in patients 1 year after surgery. Results The PES and WES scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group on the day after operation and 1 year after operation, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The alveolar tibia absorption height of the observation group was lower than that of the control group at 1 year after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The postoperative chewing function, color, adhesion height and overall aesthetic score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with the delayed implant restoration program, the immediate implant restoration program can effectively reduce alveolar bone resorption, improve the soft tissue and dental implant aesthetics, induce soft tissue formation around the implant, and improve the satisfaction of overall aesthetics, adhesion, and denture of the soft tissue function.
