| Clinical study of electroacupuncture on gastrointestinal hormone and gastric emptying role in patients with diabetic gastroparesis |

Abstract ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of electroacupuncture treating diabetic gastroparesis(DGP)and its effect on gastrointestinal hormone and gastric emptying role.MethodsEighty-nine patients with DGP treated in our hospital from May 2014 and March 2017 were included in this study and randomly grouped based on a random number table method.All patients were given hypoglycemic therap,and the control group (n=45)was combined with Mosapride Tablets,while the observation group(n=44)was combined with electroacupuncture.14 days were one course of treatment.Clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.ResultsAfter treatment,total symptom score of patients reduced in the two groups,which was more obvious in the observation group (P<0.05).After treatment,gastric emptying rate in both groups showed no significant difference(P＞0.05).Serum gastrin(GAS),motilin(MTL)and serum somatostatin(SS)level were decreased after treatment in the two groups,which was more evident in the observation group (P<0.05).Total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (90.91%vs.71.11%)(P<0.05).ConclusionElectroacupuncture presents good efficacy in DGP,and can effectively regulate gastrointestinal hormone,therefore,it is worthy of promotion.
