| Effect of Bufei Huayu Tongluo Decoction assisting on regular therapy of western medicine in the treatment of chronic pulmonary embolism |

Abstract ObjectiveTo analyze the effect of Bufei Huayu Tongluo Decoction assisting on regular therapy of western medicine in the treatment of chronic pulmonary embolism.MethodsFrom July 2015 to February 2017,the clinical data of 16 patients diagnosed as chronic pulmonary embolism were selected and divided into the control group(n=8)and research group (n=8)in random.In the control group,patients were treated by routine western medicine,while in the research group,besides western medicine,Bufei Huayu Tongluo Decoction as an adjuvant therapy was added.After 2 months treatment,the therapeutic effect,coagulation function indicators (PT,PLT,FIB),pulmonary function indexes(FEV1%prep,FEV1/FVC),serum high mobility group protein B-1 (HMGB-1)and the incidence of adverse symptoms were compared between the two groups.ResultsAfter treatment,the total effective rate in the research group (87.50%)was much higher than that in the control group (75.00%)(P＜0.05).PT of the research group was significantly longer than that of the control group,and the level of PLT and FIB were significantly higher than those of the control group,and FEV1%prep and FEV1/FVC were significantly better than those of the control group,while HMGB-1 was lower than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference (P＜0.05).There was no statistical difference of the incidence of adverse symptoms between the two groups(P＞0.05).ConclusionBufei Huayu Tongluo Decoction assisting on routine treatment of western medicine treating chronic pulmonary embolism can significantly improve the coagulation function and pulmonary function,and the incidence of adverse symptoms is low,which can be promoted in grass-root hospital.
