Effect of 3%Hypertonic Saline atomization inhalation combined with Budesonide and Salbutamol in the treatment of moderate to severe bronchiolitis in children |

Abstract Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of 3%Hypertonic Saline atomization inhalation combined with Budesonide and Salbutamol in the treatment of moderate to severe bronchiolitis in children.Methods From November 2013 to November 2016,451 children with bronchiolitis,aged from 1 month to 2 years,who were admitted to the department of pediatrics in the People′s Hospital in Langfang City were selected as the study subjects.The subjects were randomly divided into the control group(n=227)and the treatment group(n=224)by random number table method.Two groups of patients were treated by conventional methods.In the control group,children were treated with Budesonide combined with Salbutamol inhalation,and the treatment group were treated on the basis of the control group plus 3%Hypertonic Saline.The clinical efficacy,hypoxia symptom score,duration of symptoms,hospital stay and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate in the treatment group(86.2%)was higher than that in the control group(80.6%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment 1,3,5 days,the scores of hypoxia symptom in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The duration of coughing continued,the wheezing continued,the recovery time of blood gas and the time of sound disappeared in the treatment group shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The average length of hospital stays in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The 3%Hypertonic Saline inhalation combined Budesonide and Salbutamol in the treatment of moderate to severe bronchiolitis in children is remarkable.This treatment method has certain clinical application value for the treatment of children with bronchiolitis.
