| Effect of exercise therapy and physical agents in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of exercise therapy combined with physical agents on knee osteoarthritis(KOA)and provide guidance for clinical practice.Methods From February 2013 to October 2017,300 KOA patients in our hospital were enrolled as research objects.They were randomly divided into single group(n=150,physical agents alone)and combined group(n=150,exercise therapy with physical agents).The scores of pain,activities of daily living,and knee function in the two groups were compared.Results In the combined group,the score of the activity of daily living was significantly higher than that in the single group（[78.24±2.32]points vs.([65.20±2.78]points)(P＜0.05).The postoperative pain score in the combined group was （2.12±0.52） points,which was much lower than that in the single group （[4.02±0.67]points） （P ＜0.05）.The excellent and good rate of knee joint function in the combined group was 82.67%,significantly higher than that in the single group accounting for 71.33%,the differences were statistically significant（P＜0.05）.Conclusion Exercise therapy combined with physical agents in the treatment of KOA has a good effect,and can significantly improve patient′s knee joint function.
