Abstract 1674-4721（2016）09（a）-0153-03［Abstract］Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics and incidence condition of school age children voice disorders in Dongguan，and to provide the treatment of school age children voice disorders.Methods A total of 2000 children aged from 9 to 12 years old were investigated in more than 3 primary schools in Dalang Town of Dongguan city from January 2014 to December 2015.The children′s voice problem questionnaire was designed，and the questionnaires were distributed and wrote by themselves when students had physical examination.GRBAS score was conducted after children fill in the questionnaire.Indirect examination of the suspension and fiber laryngoscope examination were conducted for having voice problem children.Results 130 cases of children had voice disorders in 2000 investigated children.The incidence rate of voice problem among school-age children in Dongguan area was about 6.5%，97 cases were boys，33 cases were girls and the male and female ratio of about 2.9∶1.0.Vocal nodules were relatively more and were 122 cases，6 cases of vocal cords，2 cases of polyp of vocal cord，0 cases of vocal cord cyst，0 cases of sulcus vocalis.Conclusion The epidemiological characteristics of school age children voice disorders in Dongguan area are mainly of vocal nodules，and boys are more than girls，which in accordance with the character that boys shouted and sound inappropriate.Through standardized voice training，vocal nodules can be corrected.
