Objective To explore clinical curative effect of cyproheptadine，sulfasalazine and bismuth pectin in treating ulcerative colitis.Methods From January 2013 to December 2015，according to visit order of admission and drug regimens，50patientswithulcerativecolitisbysulfasalazinemonotherapy（controlgroup），while50 casespatientswithulcerative colitis by sulfasalazine，cyproheptadine and colloidal bismuth pectin combination therapy　（observation group）were retrospectively and comparatively studied.Total efficiency，relief time of hematochezia and abdominal pain，incidence of adverse reaction were compared between two groups.Results The clinical total effective rate in the observation group was 96%，higher than 80%in the control group　（P＜0.05）.Compared with the control group，relief time of hematochezia and abdominal pain in the observation group were significantly shortened（P＜0.05）.Incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4%，significantly lower than 18%in the control group　（P＜0.05）.Conclusion In the clinical treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis by sulfasalazine，cyproheptadine and colloidal bismuth pectin combination therapy has significant curative effect and can effectively promote the relief of clinical symptoms，reduce adverse reactions.
