Objective To prepare Breviscapine oral fast dissolving films and to evaluate the quality. Methods The solvent castingmethod was used to prepare Breviscapine oral fast dissolving films，the films evaluation and dissolution of themembranewere used as the evaluation index，the L9（34）orthogonal experimental design method was used to optimize the prescription.Results Themain factors influenced the appearance of the oral fast dissolving filmswere the proportion of film formingmaterial（E5 PVA/HPMC）and the dosage of plasticizer，while themain factors influenced the dissolution were the proportion of film forming material and the amount of the disintegrating agent used.The optimal prescription was determined considering both the appearance and dissolution index，the samples prepared according to the optimal prescription had good uniform of thickness，appropriate flexibility and tensile properties，the disintegrating time was less than 30 secondswith fast dissolving profile and good content.Conclusion The preparation of the Breviscapine oral fast dissolving films is objective，the product quality is stable，and themethod can be used as reference to related studies.
