| Effects of Yangxin Tongmai Mixture on cardiac function and neuroendocrine factor of patients with chronic heart failure |

Abstract Objective To observe the effect of Yangxin Tongmai Mixture on the cardiac function and neuroendocrine factors in patients with chronic heart failure.Methods 69 patients with chronic heart failure patients in our hospital from June 2013 to December 2015 were divided into control group(n=33)and treatment group(n=36)according to random number table method,patients in the control group were treated routinely with western medicine,while patients in the treatment group were added with Yangxin Tongmai Mixture.The change of AngiotensinⅡ(AngⅡ),N-terminal brain natriuretic peptide precursor(NT-ProBNP)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),A ldosterone(ALD),level before and after treatment were compared.Results There was no significant difference in the levels of NT-ProBNP,LVEF,AngⅡand ALD before treatment between two groups(P＞0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,LVEF level in two groups was higher than that before treatment,while NT-ProBNP level was significantly decreased (P＜0.01),and which in the treatment group was significantly improved,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the levels of AngⅡ and ALD in two groups was lower than that before treatment,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05),which in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Yangxin Tongmai Mixture can significantly improve the cardiac function and quality of life of patients with chronic heart failure, suppress over activation of neuroendocrine.
