| Clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine bone-setting in the treatment of distal radius fractures |

Abstract Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)bone-setting in the treatment of distal radius fractures.Methods 100 cases with were distal radius fractures in our hospital from June 2013 to June 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,50 cases in each group. The control group was given the traditional traction reduction and plaster fixation,the observation group was treated with TCM bone-setting and small splint external fixation.The time of wrist swelling,the time of complete pain relief,the time of fracture healing,the length of hospital stay,the recovery of wrist function and the incidence rate of complication were compared between the two groups.Results The swelling subsided time,perceived pain complete remission time,fracture healing time and length of stay of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group,with significant difference(P＜0.05).The excellent and good rate of wrist joint function recovery in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,with significant difference(P＜0.05).The incidence tare of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,with significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion TCM bone-setting has a good curative effect on distal radius fracture,combined with early functional exercise，which can help the patients to improve symptoms,promote the recovery of wrist function.
