Application effect of clinical pathway of TCM in the intern′s teaching in the department of Endocrinopathy |

Abstract ObjectiveTo observe the application effect of clinical pathways in the intern's teaching in the department of Endocrinology.MethodsThe clinical interns in the Department of Endocrinology in our hospital from June 2013 to May 2015 were divided into clinical pathway teaching group and traditional teaching group according to the random number table method.Clinical pathway teaching group was in strict accordance with the clinical pathway sheet for the implementation of the diagnosis and treatment plan,and the traditional teaching group carried out the diagnosis and treatment according to the previous theoretical teaching.The comprehensive results were compared before and after the internship in both groups and the differences of curative effects in the patients were compared.ResultsThe differences of the test results before the entry between the two groups were not significant.After different modes of clinical teaching,the test results in both groups were improved compared with those before the entry(P<0.05).However,the average score of students in the clinical pathway teaching group was better than that in the traditional teaching groups(P<0.01).The curative effect of the patients under control in the clinical pathway teaching group was also better than that in the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with traditional teaching methods,the clinical pathways teaching method have significant advantages,which is suggested to be widely promoted in clinical teaching.
