Analysis on the chemical compounds of volatile oil of Centipeda minima from different area |

Abstract Objective To compare the chemical compounds of volatile oil from Centipeda minima in Hunan,Jiangsu and Zhejiang.Methods The volatile oil of Centipeda minima was extracted by steam distillation.The chromatographic peaks were qualitatively identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS),and the relative content of each compound was obtained by the method of peak area normalization.Results 77 compositions were identified from Centipeda minima in Hunan,and the main compositions were Bicyclo [3.1.1] hept-2-en-4-ol,2,6,6-trimethyl-,acetate (35.05%),Propanoic acid,2-methyl-,2-[3-[(acetyloxy) methyl] oxiranyl]-5-methylp-henyl ester(16.52%),Neryl (S)-2-methylbutanoate (6.86%),Geranyl isobutyrate (5.77%).28 compositions were identified from Centipeda minima in Jiangsu,and the main compositions were Bicyclo [3.1.1] hept-2-en-4-ol,2,6,6-trimethyl-,acetate (48.40%),Acetic acid,4a-methyld-ecahydronaphthalen-1-yl ester (14.98%),Thymol(11.02%),Butanoic acid,2-methyl-,3,7-dimethyl-2,7-octadienyl ester,(E)-(6.04%).77 compositions were identified from Centipeda minima in Zhejiang,and the main compositions were Benzene,(2,3-dimethyldecyl)-(23.47%),9,12,15-Octadecatrienoic acid (16.85%),(Z,Z,Z)-,9,12-Octadecadienoic acid(Z,Z)-(15.91%),Ethanol,2-(9,12-octadecadienyloxy)-(6.44%),(R)-(-)-(Z)-14-Methyl-8-hexadecen-1-ol(5.42%).Conclusion GC-MS can be used to analysis the composition of volatil-e oil quickly and effectively.The Different area Centipeda minima have different compositions of volatile oil.
