Abstract ObjectiveTo investigate the preventive effect of heat sensitive moxibustion on bone marrow suppression after chemotherapy in patients with malignant tumor.Methods60 patients with malignant tumor received chemotherapy in our hospital were selected as objects from September 2015 to September 2016 were selected and they were divided into the two groups, and there were 30 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given oral western medicine, while the observation group was treated with heat sensitive moxibustion.Blood indexes(white blood cells, neutrophils, platelets, hemoglobin level)test results after treatment in the two groups were analyzed and its decrease degree was scored. The preventive effect on bone marrow suppression between the two groups was compared.ResultsAfter the end of chemotherapy, detection results of white blood cells, neutrophils, platelets and hemoglobin in patients of two groups were not in the normal range of reference, but the patients in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group, decreased score was lower than that of the control group;the total effective rate for bone marrow suppression in patients of the observation group and the control group was 93.33%and 60.00%respectively,and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group, all the above the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionDuring the chemotherapy of patients with malignant tumors, and heat sensitive moxibustion applied can effectively prevent bone marrow suppression and it is worthy of popularization and application.
