| Effect analysis of high quality nursing intervention on prevention of nosocomial infection in“rooming-in”in obstetrical department |

Abstract Objective To explore the efficacy of high quality nursing intervention on prevention of nosocomial infection in “rooming-in”.Methods A total of 71 delivered puerperae from January 2014 to August 2015 in “rooming-in” in our hospital were selected.According to the order of admission and a random number table,all participants were divided into control group (n=35) and observation group (n=36).In the control group,regular nursing was used,while in the observation group,high quality nursing intervention was adopted.The incidence of nosocomial infection and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results In the observation group,the incidence of nosocomial infection including upper respiratory tract infection,superficial incision infection,and urinary system infection,etc. was 8.3%,much lower than that in the control group accounting for 34.3% (P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction in the control group was 80.0%,while in the observation group,the satisfaction rate was 97.2%.The nursing satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion High quality nursing intervention on the prevention of nosocomial infection including upper respiratory tract infection and superficial wound infection,etc.in “rooming-in” in obstetrical department obtains a prominent effect,and is well-recognized by patients,which is worthy of promotion.
