Abstract ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Mecobalamin treating diabetic neuropathy.MethodsA total of 74 patients with diabetic neuropathy treated in our hospital from March 2015 to July 2016 were selected and they were divided into the control group and observation group, and there were 37 cases in each group. The control group received the routine treatment while the observation group was treated with Mecobalamin on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy and the improvement of function, the nerve conduction velocity, blood sugar level and adverse symptoms between the two groups were compared.ResultsThe total effective rate of the observation group was 94.59%,which was higher than that of the control group (75.68%)(P<0.05).The improvement rate of left bicipital muscle of arm, right bicipital muscle of arm, tendon reflex of left knee and tendon reflex of right knee were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the conduction velocity of ulnar nerve motor nerve, ulnar nerve sensory nerve, peroneal nerve motor nerve and peroneal nerve in patients of the observation group were significantly improved compared with before treatment and the improvement range in the observation group was larger than that of the control group (P<0.05).After treatment, fasting blood glucose and postprandial blood glucose levels of 2 h in the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment, and the above-mentioned indexes in the observation group after treatment were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05).The improvement rate of limb pain, numbness, fever, chills, hypoesthesia, diarrhea, sweating, difficult defecation in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionMethylcobalamin treating diabetic neuropathy can significantly improve the patients′function and nerve conduction velocity, effective control the blood sugar, and has a high safety,it is worthy of clinical wide application.
