| Application of Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid in newborns with toxic erythema |

Abstract Objective To investigate the application of Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid in newborns with toxic erythema.Methods A total of 300 newborns with toxic erythema who were admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to January 2019 were selected and divided into control group (n=150) and observation group (n=150) according to random number table method.The control group was bathed with conventional water, and the observation group was bathed with 1%Huoxiang Zhengqi liquid solution.The clinical curative effect, daily sleep time, daily milk feeding volume, healing time and satisfaction of family members were compared between two groups.Results The total effective rate of observation group (96.00%) was higher than that of control group (74.00%) (P＜0.05).The daily sleep time of observation group was longer than that of control group, the daily milk feeding volume of observation group was higher than that of control group, and the healing time of observation group was shorter than that of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The total satisfaction of family members in observation group (90.67%) was higher than that in control group (64.67%) (P＜0.05); the severity of toxic erythema in observation group was lighter than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid in treatment of newborns with toxic erythema can enhance clinical curative effect, increase milk feeding volume and daily sleep time of newborns, promote wound healing of erythema and increase satisfaction of family members.
