| Application of delivery ball + free position midwifery in primiparas and its influence on delivery mode |

Abstract Objective To explore the application of delivery ball + free position midwifery in primiparas and its influence on delivery mode.Methods Seventy-three primiparas treated in our hospital were selected as research subjects from November 2018 to October 2019, and were divided into group A (n=36, traditional delivery intervention) and group B (n=37, delivery ball + freedom postural midwifery) according to the random number table method.The mode of delivery, first, second and third stages of labor, total complication incidence and pain in the two groups of primiparas were compared.Results The mode of delivery of group B was better than that of group A, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The first, second and third stages of labor of group B were shorter than those of group A, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The total incidence of maternal complications in group B was lower than that in group A, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The maternal pain in group B was lighter than that in group A, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of the delivery ball combined with free position midwifery has a significant effect, which can effectively shorten the total delivery period of the primiparas, reduce the total incidence of complications, and reduce the pain of the mother.It is worthy of clinical promotion.
