Abstract Objective To study the clinical significance of abnormal prothrombin combined with alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)heterogeneity in hepatitis B related liver cancer.Methods From January 2019 to December 2020,20 outpatients and inpatients with liver cirrhosis in the Second People′s Hospital of Pingxiang City were selected as the liver cirrhosis group,and another 40 patients with hepatitis B related liver cancer admitted to hospital during the same period were selected as hepatitis B related liver cancer group.The levels of serum AFP,AFP heterogeneity and abnormal prothrombin were detected in all patients.The positive rates of serum AFP,AFP heterogeneity and other items,and the diagnostic value of single and combined detection were compared between hepatitis B related liver cancer group and liver cirrhosis group.Results The levels and positive rates of serum AFP,AFP heterogeneity and abnormal prothrombin in hepatitis B related liver cancer group were higher than those in liver cirrhosis group,the positive rate of abnormal prothrombin in hepatitis B related liver cancer group was higher than that of AFP,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The specificity of the combined detection of the three was higher than that of abnormal prothrombin,and the sensitivity and accuracy were higher than that of AFP and AFP heterosomes alone,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The levels and positive rate of serum AFP,AFP heterogeneity and abnormal prothrombin in patients with liver cancer are higher than those in patients with liver cirrhosis.The positive rate of abnormal prothrombin in hepatitis B related liver cancer group was higher than that of AFP.Combined detection of AFP heterogeneity and abnormal prothrombin can improve the positive rate of liver cancer screening,which is helpful for the early diagnosis of liver cancer.
