Abstract Objective To explore the clinical value of healthcare failure mode and effect analysis(HFMEA)in long distance relay of critical patients.Methods 120 cases of long-distance transport of critical patients in our Hospital from April 2016 to April 2017 were selected in this reaserch,60 cases of patients was transfered by traditional transfer method were selected as the control group,60 cases of patients was transfered by HFMEA transfer method were selected as the observation group.The average transit time,patients′satisfaction,accident rate oft ransshipment,the success rate of rescue,transshipment process and risk management knowledge awareness rate of the nursing staff were recorded.Results The average transit time,accident rate of transshipment in the observation group was lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05);the patients′satisfaction,the success rate of rescue,knowledge rate of nursing staff in the observation group was better than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Long distance relay of critical patients has high risk,HFMEA can accurately assess the risk of transport,optimized transport procedure,reduce the transit time and the incidence of adverse events,improve patient satisfaction,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
