Abstract：Objective To understand the tuberculosis infection among freshmen in school above junior vocational school in Fuxin.Methods A total of 3997 freshmen from 9 junior high schools,vocational schools and special schools derectly under the Municipal Education Commission in Fuxin City in 2019 were surveyed by questionnaires and screened for tuberculosis.Results In 2019,3867 freshmen were screened for purified protein derivative(PPD)test in 9 schools in Fuxin City,with a strong positive rate of 6.31% and the incidence of tuberculosis among freshmen was 0.00%;there were significant differences in the strong positive rate among different types of schools(P＜0.05);the strong positive rate of students′ individual characteristics was statistically significant between urban and rural areas,between genders,and between boarding and non-boarding(P＜0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the age distribution of the neonatal strong positive rate(P＞0.05).Conclusion On the screening of new students for tuberculosis is an effective means to control the tuberculosis epidemic in schools.The schools where the latent infected persons are found should focus on management,carry out health education regularly,establish a long-term mechanism for screening new students for tuberculosis,and reduce the prevalence of tuberculosis among students.
