Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of standardized patient application in the scenario simulation teaching of adverse nursing events. Methods A total of 297 nurses in our hospital from January 1,2017 to December 31,2018 were selected as research subjects. Before the implementation of scenario simulation teaching (from January to December 2017)was selected as the control group, after the scenario simulation teaching (from January to December 2018) was selected as the observation group.Participants in the control group took the traditional PPT group teaching model, and in the observation group, standardized patient application in the scenario simulation teaching of adverse nursing events was added on the basis of the control group. The scenario simulation teaching, the scores of nurses′ precaution awareness, hazards awareness, causes analyzing ability of adverse events and their mastery degree of preventive measures, the incidence and grade of adverse nursing events were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of nurses′precaution awareness, hazards awareness, causes analyzing ability of adverse events and their mastery degree of preventive measures in the observation group were all higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse nursing events in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The proportion of adverse events less than or equal to grade Ⅱin the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Standardized patient application in the scenario simulation teaching of adverse nursing events can increase the assessment score of nurses′ nursing safety programs and reduce the incidence of adverse nursing events, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
