Abstract Objective To explore and analyze the effectiveness of Pranoprofen Eye Drops in the treatment of postoperative inflammation of cataract. Methods From January 2015 to June 2020, a total of 80 patients with postoperative cataract inflammation treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Chifeng College were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group by the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with Fluorometholone Eye Drops, and the patients in the observation group were treated with Pranoprofen Eye Drops. The postoperative inflammatory index levels, eye symptom scores and changes in intraocular pressure were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of treatment, the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in the two groups were lower than before treatment, and the levels of IL-6, TNF-α and CRP in observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 1 week of treatment, the ocular symptom scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05);After 3 weeks of treatment, the ocular symptom scores of the two groups were lower than those after 1 week of treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the ocular symptom scores of the two groups were lower than those after 3 weeks of treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 1, 3 and 4 weeks of treatment, eye symptom scores in observation group were all lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 1 week of treatment, intraocular pressure levels in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 3 weeks of treatment, the intraocular pressure levels of the two groups were lower than those after 1 week of treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the intraocular pressure levels in the two groups were lower than those after 3 weeks of treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 1, 3 and 4 weeks of treatment, intraocular pressure levels in observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Pranoprofen Eye Drops can effectively alleviate postoperative inflammatory reaction in patients, improve patients′ ocular symptoms, reduce intraocular pressure, and enhance ocular function. It is worthy of promotion.
