Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the treatment of slow transit constipation (STC) of spleenkidney yang deficiency by supplementing fire and creating earth combined with thermosensitive moxibustion. Methods A total of 80 STC patients with spleen and kidney yang deficiency type who were admitted to Jiujiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to June 2020 were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with supplementing fire and creating earth combined with thermosensitive moxibustion, and the control group was treated with Mosapride Citrate Tablets. Both groups were treated for 30 days. The curative effect, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)syndrome score and the total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After 30 days of treatment,TCM syndrome scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The method of supplementing fire and creating earth combined with thermosensitive moxibustion in the treatment of STC patients with spleen and kidney yang deficiency can effectively improve constipation, with high safety, and is worthy of promotion.
