Comparison of effect of Dinoprostone Suppository and Misoprostol on induced labor in patients with preeclampsia |

Abstract Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of Dinoprostone Suppository and Misoprostol in the termination of pregnancy in patients with preeclampsia. Methods A total of 60 preeclampsia patients with immature cervix who were terminated from January 2015 to December 2017 in our hospital were selected as subjects. According to the medication regimen for promoting cervical ripening, all patients were divided into the observation group and the control group, 30 cases in each group. Misoprostol was used in the observation group, and Dinoprostone Suppository was used in the control group. The effects of cervical ripening, induced labor, vaginal delivery and the incidence of maternal and infant adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of cervical ripening in the observation group was 88.67%, and there was no significant difference compared with 83.33% in the control group (P>0.05). The mean vaginal bleeding in the observation group was (279.76±69.14) ml, and there was no significant difference compared with (267.95±71.02) ml in the control group (P>0.05). The rate of maternal and infant adverse reactions in the observation group was 53.3%, and there was no significant difference compared with 43.3%in the control group(P>0.05). The rate of vaginal delivery in the observation group was 83.33%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (63.33%), and the data was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Both of Dinoprostone Suppository and Misoprostol can promote cervical maturation safely and effectively, which greatly increases the rate of vaginal delivery in patients with preeclampsia, with higher rate of vaginal delivery after misoprostol promoting cervical maturation, and the safety of Dinoprostone Suppository is better. Both drugs are worthy of clinical promotion.
