Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Budesonide (BUD), Compound Ipratropium Bromide (CIB) and Oxygen (O2) atomization in the treatment of children with asthmatic pneumonia. Methods A total of 195 cases of asthmatic pneumonia admitted from January 2016 to June 2018 in the Department of Pediatrics of Jieyang People′s Hospital were selected as the research object. All patients were randomly divided into the experimental group (99 cases) and the control group (96 cases). The experimental group was treated with BUD+CIB combined with O2 atomization, while the control group was only given BUD aerosol inhalation treatment. The treatment effect, lung function changes and wheezing, wet snoring, and cough disappearance time were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The disappearance time of the wheezing sound, wet voice and cough in the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group, and there were statistical differences (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the level of blood oxygen saturation (SaO2), forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1), percentage of first second rate(FEV1/FVC%), heart rate (P), and respiratory rate (R) between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). The level of SaO2, FEV1, FEV1/FVC%, P and R after treatment in the two groups were better than those before treatment, and the improvement of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion BUN, CIB combined with O2 atomization are effective in the treatment of children with asthmatic pneumonia, which can rapidly improve the symptoms and lung function of children, and it is worthy of clinical applications.
