Abstract Objective To explore the influence of dietary guidance during pregnancy on lipid metabolism and pregnancy-related complications in pregnant women. Methods A total of 62 pregnant women with abnormal lipid metabolism during pregnancy from January to December in 2017 in our hospital were selected and divided into the control group(n=30) and the observation group (n=32) according to whether they received dietary guidance or not. Pregnant women in control group did not receive dietary guidance. Pregnant women in the observation group began to receive dietary guidance program at the 32nd week of gestation. The lipid metabolism, pregnancy-related complications and neonatal status were compared between the two groups at the 32nd week of gestation and before delivery. Results There was no significant difference in the level of serum total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) between the two groups at 32 weeks of gestation (P>0.05). The level of TC and TG decreased and HDL-C increased in the two group before delivery compared with 32 weeks of gestation (P<0.05). Before delivery, TC and TG levels of pregnant women in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and HDL-C levels were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the level of LDL-C between the two groups before delivery (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of pregnancy related complications between the two groups (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of neonatal complications between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Dietary guidance during pregnancy can effectively improve the abnormal lipid metabolism during pregnancy, reduce the incidence of pregnancy-related complications, there is no significant impact on newborns, it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
