Abstract ObjectiveTo explore the effect of application of OB tampon in clinical nursing of rectovaginal fistula.Methods 42 patients with rectovaginal fistula treated in Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery in our hospital from March 2014 to July 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the control group(n=20)and the observation group(n=22). The control group were received routine nursing,while the observation group were accepted nursing intervention with OB tampon on the basis of the control group.The integrity of perineal skin,the healing time and recurrence rate of damaged skin,the number of skin care in the pubic area and the incidence of complication were compared between two groups during hospitalization.ResultsThe integrity of perineal skin was higher than that in the control group,the healing time of damaged skin was shorter than that in the control group,the number of skin care in the pubic area was smaller than that in the control group,the recurrence rate of damaged skin and the incidence of complication were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionOB tampon has certain effectiveness in improving the clinical nursing quality of rectovaginal fistula,and it is beneficial to improve the quality of patients′life,which is worth popularizing in clinical practice.
