Abstract ObjectiveTo study The effect and function of adrenal cortex of methylprednisolone in treatment of recurrent nephrotic syndrome in children.Methods90 cases of children with nephrotic syndrome from January 2014 to March 2015 in our hospital were selected as research object,and they were divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table,45 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with Methylprednisolone, the control group treatment was treated with oral Prednisone.The adrenocortical function,urinary protein clearance time, the first course of non negative exit rate,recurrence rate and adverse reactions after treatment,treatment effect in two groups were compared.ResultsAfter treatment and 3 months after treatment,the level of ACTH in the observation group [(16.89±2.09),(25.92±10.28)ng/L]was significantly higher than that of the control group [(4.79±1.23),(19.74±12.39)ng/L] (P<0.05),Cr level[(368.28±93.27),(203.40±46.20)μg/L]was significantly lower than the control group(413.79±94.76), (258.73±49.87)μg/L](P<0.05);the negative time of urine protein [(7.41±2.01)d],the rate of the first course of treatment (6.67%)and the recurrence rate(4.44%)was significantly lower than that of the control group[(10.98±3.10)d,26.67%, 22.22%](P<0.05);the incidence of adverse reactions(6.67%)was significantly lower than control group(33.33%)(P<0.05);the total effective rate(95.56%)was significantly higher than the control group(71.11%)(P<0.05).ConclusionThe effect of methylprednisolone in treatment of recurrent nephrotic syndrome in children is significant,can reduce the influence on adrenocortical function,reduce adverse reactions,reduce urinary protein clearance time,improve the treatment effect.
