Abstract Objective To explore the virtual simulation combined with clinical case-based teaching method (CBL) in the promotion of learning interest of postgraduates in medical school. Methods A total of 44 postgraduates in Mudanjiang Medical College from April 2017 to April 2019 were selected as research objects, and divided into the observation group and the control group according to random drawing lots method, with 22 postgraduates in each group. The observation group used virtual simulation combined with CBL teaching method, while the control group used the traditional teaching mode. The scores of theoretical knowledge examination, the scores of objective structured clinical examination (OSCE),practical ability, students′ teaching satisfaction and learning interest scores were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of theoretical knowledge, the scores of OSCE and practical ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The teaching satisfaction and learning interest scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Combining virtual simulation and CBL teaching method to train medical students is helpful to improve their interest in learning, and to improve their theoretical knowledge test scores and practical ability. And the teaching model can improve the teaching satisfaction of medical students, clinical application value is high.
