Abstract Objective To observe the diagnostic value of hysteroscopy on the relationship between endometrial thickness and endometrial diseases in postmenopausal women. Methods A total of 1048 postmenopausal women with local registration in Liantang Town of Nanchang County from October to December 2019 were selected for vaginal ultrasound to check the endometrial thickness and divided into two groups according to vaginal ultrasound results.Postmenopausal women with endometrium <5 mm and endometrium ≥5 mm were further subjected to hysteroscopy and analyzed with the endometrial pathology results, and the differences between the general condition of women and the incidence of endometrial diseases in postmenopausal women with endometrium <5 mm and endometrium ≥5 mm were analyzed to explore the relationship between endometrial thickness and endometrial lesions. Results The age, number of pregnancy, menopausal time, body mass index, and intimal thickness were compared between two groups, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence rates of simple or complex intimal hyperplasia, atypical intimal hyperplasia, chronic non-specific Heterosexual endometritis, endometrial polyps, submucosal fibroids, endometrial epithelioma formation or endometrial cancer were compared between two groups, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Diagnostic rates of simple or complex endometrial hyperplasia, atypical endometrial hyperplasia, chronic nonspecific endometritis, endometrial polyps, submucosal fibroids, endometrial epithelioma formation or endometrial cancer in hysteroscope were compared with pathological diagnosis, their coincidence rates were 100.00%,85.71%,96.15%,96.56%,80.00%,75.00%,respectively.Conclusion The incidence of benign and malignant endometrial diseases in women with endometrium ≥5 mm is increased. The coincidence rate of hysteroscopy diagnosis and pathlogical diagnosis is more than 75%,which can be used as a screening method for endometrial diseases in postmenopausal women.
