Effect of application of comprehensive training mode in the training of geriatric specialty nurses |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of application of comprehensive training mode in the training of geriatric specialty nurses.Methods A total of 159 clinical nurses from 148 hospitals in Guangdong Province,Jiangxi Province,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,Guizhou Province,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,Sichuan Province and Hainan Province from June 2018 to June 2020 were selected as the subjects of the study,and the comprehensive training model was adopted for training.The differences of knowledge and skills,clinical teaching ability,organizational ability and scientific research ability of students before and after training were compared,and the training satisfaction and scientific research and teaching results were investigated.Results After training,the self-ability evaluation scores of specialized knowledge and skills,clinical teaching ability,case management ability and scientific research ability were higher than before training,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The degree of satisfaction of theory courses and practice were 91.8% and 93.1%,respectively;during the internship,the students won 15 geriatric nursing scientific research projects and 13 geriatric nursing patents,and published 98 papers related to geriatric nursing.Conclusion The training mode,training content and effect of geriatric specialty nurses in Guangdong Province are recognized by the trainees.The students have made good achievements in the field of geriatric nursing after graduation.Therefore,the training mode is feasible and effective,which is worthy of popularization and application.
