Abstract
Objective To analyse the use of glucocorticoids in 210 hospitalized patients and its rationality. Methods Clinical data of 210 inpatients treated with glucocorticoids in the Zhanjiang Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2018 to March 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, and the types, distribution and irrational drug use of Glucocorticoids were statistically analyzed. Results The top three glucocorticoids in 210 hospitalized patients were Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection, accounting for 31.90%,Budesonide Suspension for Inhalation, accounting for 23.33%,Triamcinolone Acetonide Acetate Injection, accounting for 10.95%.Among 210 inpatients, the top three departments of glucocorticoids use were the first department of orthopedics, accounting for 34.29%,the fourth department of orthopedics, accounting for 24.29%,the department of respiratory medicine, accounting for 19.05%.There were 15 cases of irrational drug use among 210 inpatients, and the rate of irrational drug use was 7.14%.Irrational drug use included 6 cases of unreasonable indications(40.00%),4 cases of unreasonable usage and dosage(26.67%),3 cases of unreasonable combined drug use(20.00%),and 2 cases of unreasonable drug selection(13.33%).Conclusion The use of glucocorticoids in inpatients of Zhanjiang Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was mainly distributed in the department of orthopedics and the department of respiratory medicine, and there were still many irrational situations. Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen supervision and professional knowledge training of clinicians,so as to reduce the rate of irrational use and improve the overall level of drug use in the hospital.
