Influence of low-temperature plasma sterilizer with full-process quality control management on the sterilization effect and work quality of the sterilization supply room |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of low-temperature plasma sterilizer with full-process quality control management on the sterilization effect and work quality of the equipment in the sterilization supply room.Methods From May 2019 to February 2020 (before the implementation of low-temperature plasma sterilizer combined with full-process quality control management), 320 medical devices in the sterilization supply room of Yunfu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly selected as the control group.From March 2020 to December 2020 (after the implementation of low-temperature plasma sterilizers and full-process quality control management), 320 medical devices in the sterilization supply room of Yunfu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly selected as the research group.The control group used the low-temperature plasma sterilizer with routine management, while the research group used the low-temperature plasma sterilizer with full-process quality control management.The sterilizing effect, working quality and management satisfaction of the sterilization supply room were compared between the two groups.Results The biomonitoring qualification rate of the research group (100.0%) was higher than that of the control group (76.8%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The unqualified rate of device recovery (1.56%), cleaning(0.94%), packaging (0.13%) and device distribution error (0.03%) in the research group were lower than those in the control group (9.06%, 8.13%, 9.69%, 5.63%), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total satisfaction of device management in the research group (95.00%) was higher than that in the control group (80.00%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of low-temperature plasma sterilizer and full-process quality control management enhances the sterilization effect and work quality of the equipment in the sterilization supply room, and improves the satisfaction of the hospital staff on the quality of the equipment.
