Effect comparison of Terbutaline combined with Beclomethasone Propionate/Budesonide in the treatment of acute attack of mild to moderate asthma in children |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Beclomethasone Propionate and Budesonide with Terbutaline in treatment of mild to moderate childhood asthma exacerbations.Methods A total of 100 children with mild to moderate asthma acute attack admitted to People′s Hospital of Songzi City from January 2019 to April 2020 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 50 cases in each group.The control group was given Budesonide combined with Terbutaline,and the observation group was given Beclomethasone Propionate combined with Terbutaline.After 7 days of treatment,the clinical efficacy, symptom disappearance time, hospital stay, symptom score, pulmonary function indexes and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After 7 days of treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P>0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in cough, dyspnea, pulmonary wheezing, disappearance time and hospitalization time between the two groups (P>0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in nocturnal and daytime symptom scores between the two groups (P>0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in 1 second forced expiratory volume(FEV1), FEV1/forced vital capacity (FVC) between the two groups (P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of Beclomethasone Propionate and Budesonide with Terbutaline in treatment of mild to moderate childhood asthma exacerbations are similar, can effectively improve the clinical symptoms, signs and lung function of the children, and there is no increase in adverse reactions, it is worthy of promotion and application.
