Effect of simulated Child life intervention on children with recurrent respiratory tract infection |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of simulated Child life intervention in children with recurrent respiratory tract infection(RRTI).Methods A Prospective randomized trial method was used,25 children with RRTI who were received by Pingxiang Second People′s Hospital from January to June 2019 were selected and set as the control group,25 children with RRTI who were received by Pingxiang Second People′s Hospital from July to December 2019 were selected and set as the observation group,patients in the control group were used routine continuous nursing,patients in the observation group were used routine continuous nursing combined with simulated Child life nursing model intervention,all patients were intervened for 1 year.The nutritional score,functional exercise compliance,recurrence rate and readmission rate were compared between the two groups before and after 1 year of intervention.Results 1 year after intervention,the screening tool for the assessment of malnutrition in pediatrics(STAMP)score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,with statistical difference(P<0.05);after 1 year of intervention,the compliance of functional exercise in the observation group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical difference(P<0.05);the recurrence rate within 1 year and readmission rate of the observation group were lower than that of the control group,with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Simulated Child life nursing intervention mode can improve the STAMP score of RRTI children and improve the compliance of functional exercise,reduce the recurrence of disease and readmission.
