Application of PBL teaching based on evidence-based medicine theory in clinical teaching of cardiology department |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of problem-based teaching method(PBL)based on evidencebased medicine(EBM)theory in clinical teaching of cardiovascular medicine.Methods A total of 62 clinical interns who rotated in the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical College Vasculocardiology Department from June 2018 to October 2019 were selected as the research objects.According to random number table method,they were divided into the control group and the research group,with 31 clinical interns in each group.The traditional teaching method was used in the control group,while the PBL teaching method based on EBM theory was used in the research group.At the end of the internship,the basic theoretical knowledge and the total scores of comprehensive case analysis of the two groups and the satisfaction of the two groups of interns on the teaching methods were compared.Results After internship,the basic theoretical knowledge and comprehensive case analysis scores in the research group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The teaching satisfaction of the research group was higher than that of the control group in four aspects,included teaching content and methods,improving the ability of literature review,strengthening the initiative of learning and training the clinical work ability,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion EBM-based PBL model is applicable to improve the teaching effects and the student′s learning satisfaction in clinical cardiology.
