基础治疗联合牙周维护治疗慢性牙周炎的临床效果

Abstract Objective To explore the clinical effect of basic treatment combined with periodontal maintenance in treatment of chronic periodontitis.Methods A total of 360 patients with chronic periodontitis who were treated in our hospital from September 2012 to November 2018 were selected as the subjects.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 180 cases in each group.The control group were given conventional basic treatment, while the observation group were given basic treatment combined with periodontal maintenance.The treatment effect, periodontal index, number of missing teeth per year, and recurrence rate of periodontitis before and after treatment were observed and compared.Results The total effective rate of the observation group (96.11%) was higher than that of the control group (81.67%), with statistical difference (P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in periodontal pocket probing depth (PD), bleeding index (BI), plaque index (PLI), and clinical attachment loss (CAL) between the two groups before treatment (P＞0.05).After treatment, the PD, BI, PLI and CAL of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).After treatment, the PD, BI, PLI and CAL of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The average number of missing teeth per year in the observation group was fewer than that in the control group, and the recurrence rate of periodontitis was lower than that in the control group, with statistical differences (P＜0.05).Conclusion In clinical treatment of patients with chronic periodontitis, basic treatment combined with periodontal maintenance can effectively improve the periodontal condition of patients, help to maintain the treatment effect, and reduce the recurrence rate.The effect is significant and worthy to be popularized in the clinical practice.
